Forty percent of women have visible hair loss by the time they are age 40.  For some ladies, hair loss is temporary or minimal. But for others, hair loss is significant and can become a constant nightmare that - until now - has been almost impossible to overcome.

The new science of re-growing hair really works. Here’s why: Scientific research has identified what causes hair loss, how to prevent it and how to regrow it. Because women can see a continuing increase in hair loss as they age, the National Institutes of Health note that less than 45% of women will have a full head of hair for their entire life.  There are a number of factors that contribute to hair loss yet a majority of women who experience hair loss (regardless of age or lifestyle,) experience hair loss for many of the same reasons.

Many women lose their hair because of an inherited tendency toward alopecia, however, unlike men, women usually see diffused hair loss that thins over the whole top and frontal sections of the head. Although ladies can more easily hide hair loss for a longer period with creative hairstyles, it becomes increasingly obvious over time and without intervention may continue throughout one’s lifetime.

Early intervention can slow or even stop hair loss. Ladies usually notice thinning hair at the onset. This consciousness is an advantage because early intervention can slow or even stop the hair loss before it advances to a more severe stage.

“I not only have my hair back, I have myself back. I feel alive and beautiful again. I would definitely recommend Dr. Kanosky at Mississippi Hair Restoration.”

Three new therapies have proven to regrow hair.

This really works!

3 proven treatments. All in 1 location. Little-to-no down time or discomfort.

Dr. Kanosky utilizes a proven combination of three medical-grade techniques to slow hair loss, stimulate dormant hair follicles to grow again, or move growing hair to the place on your scalp where you need it the most. The three procedures can be performed at the Ridgeland office of Mississippi Hair Restoration. Dr. Kanosky will examine and analyze your hair loss pattern; then, design a personalized regimen to get the best results for you.

Infra-red (IR) Light Therapy… wakes up dormant hair follicles and stimulates growth for a fuller, thicker head of hair. Infra-red Light Therapy works exceptionally well in the early stages of hair loss and can slow or even stop hair loss. Works will with other treatments.

Subdermal or Topical Serum Therapy…  This game-changing new technology invigorates hair follicles by fueling the root with PRP growth factors, Copper Peptide enzymes, or proprietary Serums. NO Needles. NO Pain. ALL Gain! Quick and relaxing.

FUE (Follicle Unit Extraction)… No scalpel, incisions or staples! No Linear Scar! Minimal downtime. Proven state-of-the-art technology and affordable. Your hair continues to grow normally. The transplanted hair looks and feels like your own natural hair – because it is!

Little-to-No Down Time or Discomfort.

All procedures performed locally in our Center. Affordable. Financing available. Discreet Location.

Eyebrows can also be enhanced!

Over-plucking got your brows feeling wispy? Microblading can fill in patchy or non-existent eyebrows quickly and looks completely natural.

The cause of hair loss in women varies. Many medical, genetic and environmental factors can cause or contribute to the condition. Beginning treatment as soon as you notice hair loss will help to prevent further damage to hair follicles, slow hair loss and allow for optimal regrowth.

Dr. Kanosky can detect the cause of your hair loss by examining your medical history, your habits and family traits that may predispose you to early hair loss. He can then design a treatment regimen that addresses the root cause and treats the underlying problem such as the medication you are taking or the genes you inherited. There are medical treatments, that if started early, can help you avoid severe hair loss or even identify other health problems you didn’t suspect.

What are the options for hair loss treatment for women?

Some of the specific treatments Dr. Kanosky may discuss with you may include the following:

  • Prescription-strength topical medications that work to prolong the growth cycle of hair.
  • Oral contraceptives with low levels of androgens that regulate hormone production.
  • Anti-androgens such as aldactone/spironolactone, tagamet/cimetidine, cyproterone acetate, ketoconazole (nizoral), and finasteride, designed to reduce androgens (male hormones.)
  • Estrogen and Progesterone taken to regulate hormones.
  • NeoLTS Infra-Red Light Therapy sessions that slow hair loss, regulate the follicular hair growth cycle, and stimulate dormant hair follicles to start growing.
  • Injection-Free Serum Therapies like the new AquaFirmeXS to help your body build new and stronger hair shafts and stimulate dormant follicles to grow more hair. PRP growth factors, copper peptide enzymes or proprietary serums like DE|RIVE can be massaged into the scalp’s subdermal layer using UltraSound in a relaxing session that eliminates using injections or syringes.
  • NeoGraft FUE Hair transplants for a permanent natural solution to target specific areas where you need more hair. Minimally invasive, a session can be completed in a day. No scalpel, incisions or staples! No scars! Minimal downtime. Your hair continues to grow normally. The transplanted hair looks and feels like your own natural hair – because it is!

Do over-the-counter treatments work? Are they safe?

Most over-the-counter (OTC) medications just aren’t strong enough to get to the root of the problem. These products rarely work and actually may damage your remaining hair. Since it’s really the hair follicles below the scalp that cause most of the problems, these treatments can’t do much. There are some prescription-strength topical medications available at Mississippi Hair Restoration that would be more beneficial.

What about unwanted hair?

Many people, particularly women, have unwanted hair. Areas such as the underarms, side of the face, chin and the lip are commonly exfoliated. There are many ways to treat this problem. First, some medicines can help. Also, we look closely at your medical history to tell if your medications or other health issues could be causing unwanted hair. By treating the underlying problem, we may be able to stop the unwanted hair issue.

Laser treatments can significantly decrease or eradicate unwanted hair. Mississippi Hair Restoration has a variety of lasers to customize a treatment plan based on your specific need. Our lasers are safe and effective, with minimal to no downtime.

Can my eyebrows be restored?

Eyebrows can be enhanced. If your eyebrows are thin, misshapen or you want thicker, fuller eyebrows to frame your face Mississippi Hair Restoration has the answer. There are several ways to make the eyebrows fuller and darker. Follicle transplants work well on scarred facial tissue, but we also offer permanent micropigmentation and semi-permanent microneedling to enhance the brow. These procedures are done with local anesthesia in our office.

These are minimal downtime procedures with quick benefit. The best eyebrow shape depends on personal preference. We may recommend a certain shape based on the size and shape of your face so that your eyebrows best accent your other facial features.

Women can get optimal hair regrowth when the underlying cause of the condition is diagnosed by a qualified physician who then designs a targeted medical plan of treatment.  A number of treatment options are available to women. Dr. Kanosky will discuss your specific issues and design a targeted medical plan to treat your condition.
