About Hair Loss

Men and women with thinning hair have a lot of questions about hair loss. You have probably done some research in the library or online. We have some new answers to many of the old questions.

Did you know while both men and women can have hair loss, the causes are very different, and the treatments may vary. Men see hair loss more localized in the temples and crown. Men can be surprised when a friend points out the degree of hair loss and how noticeable it has become. Women see more diffuse hair loss that thins over the whole top and frontal sections. Although ladies can more easily hide hair loss for a longer period with creative hairstyles, it always becomes obvious and continues to thin with startling results.

The genes you inherited, your state of health and even the environment can play a role in causing hair loss and the success of hair regrowth. As a board-certified plastic surgeon, Dr. Kanosky is uniquely qualified to design a program tailored to your unique hair loss circumstances.

A man’s beard is a sign of maturity; but, it is often quite patchy or the two sides don’t match in thickness or shape. Hair can be transplanted from the back of the scalp to the beard to correct these deficiencies. The newly transplanted hair follicles grow in and can be cut and manicured just like the rest of the beard. The transplanted hair blends in so well that no one can tell which was there first.

Hair also can be transplanted to areas such as the chest to create or intensify a more masculine look that is thicker and fuller. Hair added in places like the chest is an especially good way to hide burn or other scars. The hair can be groomed any way you like once it grows in.

“So glad I visited Dr. Kanosky. His custom treatment solution did what all the gimmicks promise but can’t do: it worked.”

This really works!

3 proven treatments. All in 1 location. Little-to-no down time or discomfort.

Dr. Kanosky utilizes a proven combination of three medical-grade techniques to slow hair loss, stimulate dormant hair follicles to grow again, or move growing hair to the place on your scalp where you need it the most. The three procedures can be performed at the Ridgeland office of Mississippi Hair Restoration. Dr. Kanosky will examine and analyze your hair loss pattern; then, design a personalized regimen to get the best results for you.

Infra-red (IR) Light Therapy… wakes up dormant hair follicles and stimulates growth for a fuller, thicker head of hair. IR Therapy works exceptionally well in the early stages of hair loss and can slow or even stop hair loss.

Injection Therapy… invigorates hair follicles by fueling the root with growth factors that are harvested from your own blood. The whole procedure takes about 30 minutes and there’s no down time.

FUE (Follicle Unit Extraction)… No scalpel, incisions or staples! Minimal downtime. Your hair continues to grow normally. The transplanted hair looks and feels like your own natural hair – because it is!

Little-to-No Down Time or Discomfort.

All procedures performed locally in our Center. Affordable. Financing available. Discreet Location.

Men and Women – Young or Mature

These new non-surgical medical therapies work for all hair types, actually slow hair loss and regrowing your own natural hair!

You will love life after medical hair growth treatments and follicle transplants restore your natural looking hairline.

A professional hair follicle transplant using the latest technology always looks like your own hair – because it is your own hair. When it grows out, it is virtually undetectable – because it is your own permanent hair. After a transplant, there are no more special treatments: no creams, powders, or pills; no fear your hairpiece will slip or costly salon visits; and, no more expensive products will be required. Use any shampoo you want. Dye it. Comb it. Blow it dry!

How expensive is a hair transplant?

Today’s most popular way to re-grow your own hair is a professional hair transplant by a board-certified Plastic Surgeon. The procedure (and related office visits,) usually total $8,000 to $12,000 and result in a permanent fix. Just add up the hundreds of dollars you spend each month and multiply by the next 10 to 20 years and it’s more than the cost of a permanent hair transplant. Medical treatment options begin as low as $600 for a round of infra-red light therapy sessions to an average of $10,000 for a 2,000-graft hair transplant. Stop wasting money on disappointing products and call Mississippi Hair Restoration for a permanent solution to a head full of hair. Financing is available. Think of your future with a full head of hair!

Can early intervention slow or even stop hair loss?

Lots of guys (and, yes, ladies, too) see thinning hair when they look in the mirror. By the time you notice the hair loss, it’s usually more advanced than you think. You can bet the people around you have also noticed. When the panic sets in you go out and buy expensive shampoo, vitamins, supplement pills and creams. When that doesn’t work, you’ll be online looking at the helmet, massage kits, and even hair extensions and toupees. The guys will be wearing the baseball cap that tells everyone that he is losing his hair. A better solution can be found at Mississippi Hair Restoration.

Dr. Kanosky can detect the cause of your hair loss by examining your medical history, your habits and family traits that may pre-dispose you to early hair loss. He can then design a treatment regimen that addresses the root cause and treat the underlying problem to slow and even stop hair loss. At Mississippi Hair Restoration, Dr. Kanosky employs a variety of scientifically-proven medical treatments. When started early, these treatments can help you avoid severe hair loss, complete baldness or even other health problems you didn’t suspect. Call today for a hair consultation with Dr. Kanosky.

Do over the counter treatments work and are they safe?

Some over-the-counter (OTC) shampoos and topical products are useless; others, simply do more harm than good. OTC products rarely work and may damage your remaining hair. Since it’s actually the hair follicles below the scalp that cause most of the problems, OTC products cannot contain enough real medicine to get to the root of the problem.
